About this Program

This presentation is a follow-up to MTMI's Foundations in Mammography and Breast Ultrasound Correlation webinar.* It begins with a brief recap of the mammogram's breast quadrants and then delves into advanced ultrasound terminology and strategies for presenting cases to radiologists effectively.

Participants will learn how to correlate mammography and ultrasound to MRI findings. To conclude, participants will review multiple complex case studies for a comprehensive learning experience.

* Attendance in the Foundations webinar is not a prerequisite.

Educational Objectives

After this webinar, attendees will be able to: 

  • Identify the different quadrants of the breast and correlate them with ultrasound images 

  • Compare the findings on the mammogram to the ultrasound 

  • Recognize key characteristics of findings on both mammograms and ultrasounds, enhancing diagnostic capabilities 

  • Build confidence in effectively locating and imaging suspicious areas within the breast 

  • Discuss the findings with the radiologist using the correct terminology 

  • Explain the correlation between mammography and ultrasound with MRI findings

Michele has been a registered radiologic technologist since 1998, specializing in mammography since 2005, and breast sonography since 2011.  Michele worked at a facility in her hometown for over 22 years where she was the lead breast sonographer for the Women’s Health Pavilion breast imaging department.  In 2020, she started working at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in the breast Imaging department where she currently works.  Michele has also been a mammography and breast sonography clinical instructor for a local college.  Michele’s passion for breast imaging led her to MTMI in 2018, where she became an independent breast imaging consultant for facilities all over the United States helping with ACR failures, continuing education and specialized training in mammography and ultrasound.  She enjoys teaching and mentoring others and feels blessed to be able to share her knowledge and experiences with others!

This program provides 2.5 hour(s) of Category A continuing education credit for radiologic technologists approved by ASRT and recognized by the ARRT and various licensure states.  Category A credit is also recognized for CE credit in Canada.  You must attend the entire program to receive your certificate of completion.

Cancellation Policy

Webinars less than 8 hours of credit

Refunds, minus a $15 processing fee, will be granted for cancellations received at least 3 days prior to the program. Cancellations received within 3 days of the webinar will receive a credit toward a future MTMI program, minus the $15 processing fee. No refunds will be made after the webinar starts. MTMI reserves the right to cancel any scheduled program because of low advance registration or other reasons. MTMI’s liability is limited to a refund of any program tuition paid. WEBINAR ATTENDEES that cannot log in due to unsolvable technical issues beyond their control will be eligible for a full refund.
