Digital Breast Tomosynthesis
About this Program
Help mammography patients see a better health outlook
This digital breast tomosynthesis & mammography training program provides breast imaging technologists with the tools they will need to understand the fundamentals, benefits and daily utilization of DBT within your facility. A comprehensive look at regulatory guidelines, additional quality control tests and personnel qualifications will be discussed in this 3d mammography training seminar.
Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is an exciting application of digital mammography. DBT is a three-dimensional technology approved by the FDA to be used in conjunction with mammography that provides thin cross-sectional images through the breast. Tomosynthesis is synonymous with 3D mammography, allowing technologists to describe the imaging process to their patients in layman’s terms. This imaging technology is designed to prevent overlying structures from obscuring breast masses and intersecting normal structures from being falsely identified as breast cancer. There is a growing demand for implementing the Digital Breast Tomosynthesis technology at Women’s Centers and understanding how this new technology will impact your current workflow.
This program satisfies the MQSA requirement of 8.0 hours of digital mammography training in a new mammographic modality specifically on the Hologic, GE, Siemens, and Fujifilm Digital Breast Tomosynthesis Systems. Additionally, this program can satisfy ASRT CE credits.
NEW FOR 2024! Three learning formats to meet your needs.
- In-Person: for those who desire face-to-face interaction and live Q&A.
- Live Webinar: for the convenience of learning from home, while still having a personal experience.
- Online, Self-Paced: for the ultimate in schedule flexibility for your tomosynthesis mammography training.

Marsha has been a registered radiologic technologist since 1996, specializing in Mammography since 1998. She became a Clinical Education Coordinator in 2009 teaching at Cambridge College of Healthcare and Technology. In 2012, she worked with Siemens Healthineers as a Clinical Application Specialist. Transitioning back into the hospital setting in 2017, she had the opportunity to cross-train into Bone Density (DEXA) while performing all types of digital mammography studies. Marsha is currently a Travel Mammographer as she prepares to start her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership starting January 2022.
Deborah Davis
MSRS, RT(R)(M)(QM)
Deborah Davis has been a mammographer for almost 30 years. She was a lead mammographer at MD Anderson Cancer Center for over 25 years. Performed diagnostic and screening exams, stereotactic breast biopsies, breast localizations, executed quality control, and mobile mammography. She retired in December 2023, but works part time. Deborah has taught continuing education in mammography since 2006, and has been with MTMI since 2020. Deborah created a mammography curriculum at the University of Texas MD Anderson School of Health Professions and lead the program for four years before retiring. She continues to teach portions of the initial mammography program including digital breast tomosynthesis 8-hour requirement. She also teaches several other mammography continuing education courses.
