About this Program

Help mammography patients see a better health outlook

This digital breast tomosynthesis & mammography training program provides breast imaging technologists with the tools they will need to understand the fundamentals, benefits and daily utilization of DBT within your facility.  A comprehensive look at regulatory guidelines, additional quality control tests and personnel qualifications will be discussed in this 3d mammography training seminar.

Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is an exciting application of digital mammography.  DBT is a three-dimensional technology approved by the FDA to be used in conjunction with mammography that provides thin cross-sectional images through the breast. Tomosynthesis is synonymous with 3D mammography, allowing technologists to describe the imaging process to their patients in layman’s terms. This imaging technology is designed to prevent overlying structures from obscuring breast masses and intersecting normal structures from being falsely identified as breast cancer.  There is a growing demand for implementing the Digital Breast Tomosynthesis technology at Women’s Centers and understanding how this new technology will impact your current workflow.

This program satisfies the MQSA requirement of 8.0 hours of digital mammography training in a new mammographic modality specifically on the Hologic, GE, Siemens, and Fujifilm Digital Breast Tomosynthesis Systems. Additionally, this program can satisfy ASRT CE credits.
