About this Program

Help prevent breast cancer through better diagnostics

This comprehensive mammography positioning training course is geared for mammography technologists of all levels who want to enhance their current positioning skills and take them to the next level of providing superior patient care in mammography.  Learn the eight image quality attributes for clinical image review in the EQUIP program.

The experienced instructor and positioners will provide you with a comprehensive review of mammography positioning techniques essential to executing a quality mammographer program at breast imaging facilities, techniques on how to properly evaluate clinical images and introducing assessment techniques that will improve your mammogram positioning at your facility, including pursuing mammography accreditation through a credentialing organization such as American College of Radiology™ (ACR).

Hands-on sessions with field-experienced mammography educators will thoroughly review:

  • Supplemental views
  • Mammography positioning techniques
  • Clinical assessments

There will be discussions on the advances in mammographic positioning, tips on improving positioning on implant patients and suggested techniques on how to enhance current mammography positioning styles. Details on mammography regulations, the medical audit and pathology reports will be discussed.

This course is appropriate for those interested in recommendations and solutions that will provide techniques to enhance and improve patient care satisfaction in their breast imaging centers.
