Conquering CT and MRI Contrast Administration
About this Program
The program provides participants with an understanding of the content, structure, and differences between CT and MRI contrast materials; for both injectable and ingestible. Participants will also be able to identify and discuss the importance of the use/s of, and safety procedures regarding venipuncture, IV access and Cardiac cycle. They will also learn about patient screening/s, common pathologies that require contrast to identify, enhancement phases, anatomic enhancement, potential contraindications related to contrast media, and how to treat them.
Educational Objectives
After this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Define terms commonly associated with MRI and CT contrast agents, uses, formula, and safety.
- Describe current practices, according to the ACR, regarding contrast screening(s), enhancement phases, and safety.
- Discuss common applications for using Intravenous and oral contrasts in MRI and CT exams.
- Discuss common pathologies that are identified through the use of CT and MRI contrast/s.

Amber L. Lenhard MBA
MBA, B. A. Humanities; BAS; RT(R)(CT)
Mrs. Amber Lenhard is a former college instructor in Medical Imaging, and prior US Air Force Radiologic technologist. Over the past 12 years, she has used her military training to help instruct and mentor many students within Medical Imaging. Amber has a passion for the field of Medical Imaging and enjoys still being able to work, hands on, in both X-ray and CT wherever she goes. Her husband of 20 years, Keith, is currently on active duty, as a Naval OR Nurse, and together they have two children, Donovan James and Abigail Joy. A fun fact about Mrs. Amber is that she had the opportunity to fulfill a career dream of working with professional athletes. From 2016 - 2021 she was one of the X-ray techs, who alongside the athletic trainers, worked for both the Washington Redskins NFL, as well as the Nationals Baseball teams, and has a 2019 World Series ring.

Webinars less than 8 hours of credit
Refunds, minus a $15 processing fee, will be granted for cancellations received at least 3 days prior to the program. Cancellations received within 3 days of the webinar will receive a credit toward a future MTMI program, minus the $15 processing fee. No refunds will be made after the webinar starts. MTMI reserves the right to cancel any scheduled program because of low advance registration or other reasons. MTMI’s liability is limited to a refund of any program tuition paid. WEBINAR ATTENDEES that cannot log in due to unsolvable technical issues beyond their control will be eligible for a full refund.
