Dr. Pierce is a musculoskeletal radiologist at the University of Virginia (UVA) and is the director of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. She has a passion for teaching musculoskeletal radiology at all levels of training, emphasizing the value of ultrasound in clinical practice. Her research interests include imaging of sports injuries and ultrasound guided procedures. Prior to coming to the University of Virginia, she served in the US Navy for 13 years as a musculoskeletal radiologist. Dr. Pierce is also the program director for the Radiology Global Health Leadership Track and leads a team of UVA residents to partner with a residency program in Mbarara, Uganda. Outside of Radiology, she can be found traveling with her husband, spending time with their two adult children, and running her next race.
