Gerardo (Jerry) Ortiz has been a registered technologist for 41 years. He received his training in San Antonio and settled in Seattle Washington. He lives in El Paso Texas and works as the program director of Southwest University, as well as, working in the field. He currently holds two other PRN positions where he covers relief work as an MRI/CT/Radiologic Technologist. He loves the imaging field and keeping current in all modalities (R, CT, MR). He especially enjoys teaching.
Jerry has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Health Care Management (Colorado Tech University 2009) along with a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences (Adventist University 2005. He is certified in Radiography, Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT). He has a total of 41 years of Radiology experience including supervisory positions. Jerry’s experience ranges from Level I to Level III trauma centers along with Outpatient clinics and to include, He was a Research Scientist I at the University of Washington in Seattle where he ran the Research MRI for the Diagnostic Imaging Science Center. He is also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army; and retired as a 1SG having served for 24 years.
