About this Seminar
This seminar covers mammography basics as well as the detail necessary to understand
the modality and associated components. Topics cover mammography positioning, QA,
interventional procedures, and associated instrumentation. This seminar will concentrate
on material needed for the ARRT Mammography Registry Exam and will help to upgrade your
skills in this increasingly demanding role.

Educational Objectives
At the completion of this seminar, participants will:
- Understand the need for screening mammography.
- Have learned mammographic anatomy and physiology, and related conditions relative to mammography.
- Understand and recognize development and radiographic appearance of malignant processes to best demonstrate pertinent diagnostic
pertinent diagnostic information.
- Have learned the best positioning techniques utilized in mammography.
- Be familiar with advanced positioning techniques utilized in mammography.
- Have learned other non-imaging procedures involved in breast disease to be able to understand
the overall process and the importance of follow up.

Who Should Attend

You should attend this seminar if you are a technologist wanting to prepare for the
mammography registry exam. This seminar would also be helpful to technologists who
are involved in breast imaging and wanting a comprehensive review of the techniques
and concepts used in mammography, along with exposure to advanced concepts and pathology.

About the Instructor
|

Shelly Lille, BS, RT(R)(M)
|
|
Shelly holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the State of New
York at Cortland, has been an active technologist since 1979, and currently
is an independent mammography consultant. For approximately six years, Shelly
held the position of Chief Technologist at the world-renowned Wende
Logan-Young, MD Breast Clinic in Rochester, New York, where she played a key
role in operation of the clinic. Shelly has consulted with manufacturers on
the design of mammography systems and has conducted many educational programs
for mammographers throughout the United States and Canada. Shelly is
co-author of a technique and positioning book on mammography. She has also
been a member of the planning committee and faculty of the American College
of Radiology’s national course on mammography for technologists since
1992. Shelly’s extensive knowledge and experience in
mammography will make this a very rewarding educational experience.

Qualifying 'Early' registrations must be made at least 14 days in advance.

received at least 3 days prior to the seminar. Cancellations received
within 3 days of the seminar will receive a credit toward a future
MTMI seminar, minus the $30 processing fee. No refunds will be
made after the seminar.
Registration Discounts
Group discount for a group from one facility registering at the same time: 3-5
attendees 5%; 6 or more attendees 10%. Group discounts for MTMI
Institutional Members can be as high as 25%, please contact MTMI for details
(discount is not applicable if the tuition is paid by purchase order). For
student rates, contact MTMI. Members of MTMI receive a discount. Only one
discount may be applied.

MTMI reserves the right to cancel any scheduled seminar due to low
advance registration or other reasons. MTMI’s liability is limited to a refund
of any program tuition paid. MTMI recommends that attendees use refundable
airline tickets for travel to seminars. In case of cancellation of a seminar for
any reason, MTMI is not responsible for travel costs incurred by attendees
including non-refundable airline tickets.
